You need to understand that you have the power and ability to choose and control the Third Influence that shapes your actions, thought processes, and ultimately, the destination you are going to reach in your life.
We also have the ability to counteract the Third Influence. Maybe we can’t control what kind of commercial is going to come on television or what people around us are saying, but we can control what we watch on television and the kind of people with whom we associate. We can ultimately control what we allow to be put into us by selecting the things we listen to and read.
Ask yourself what you want to accomplish in your life. Then ask yourself if your mentality and actions are aligned with what is necessary to accomplish your goals or if you are being negatively influenced. If you don’t choose what you are influenced by, you are going to be influenced by anything.
The point is that you need to make sure that, when you choose your Third Influence, you choose somebody who has a proven track record of success. Choose someone you know you can follow and model yourself after. Ask yourself: What do I truly want to accomplish? What do I want my life to be like? Who has accomplished that already? Who can I bring into my life to influence me?
Take the time to think about what you really want your life to look and be like. When it comes down to it, this is what we have. This is what the Third Influence is. There are two Hs for us, just like the two hydrogen molecules. We have two hows: How you are now and How you want to be. The Third Influence is going to have a tremendous, dramatic impact on what you become. You are going to become either the water or the stinky gas that smells like rotten eggs. You have the ability and power to choose what your Third Influence is going to be.
Take control of that.
