The Power of the Third Influence, Part 1
These next few blog posts are excerpts from my book, “Secrets to Creating Wealth.” I’ll be discussing the Power of the Third Influence in your life. The Third Influence is one of my personal success discoveries from years ago. Once you grasp what the Third Influence is all about, you can truly accelerate positive changes in your life and get on the path to accomplishing your goals. Pay close attention to this - it is very profound.
To help you to understand the Third Influence, let’s take a quick trip to the science lab. Let’s say you have an objective that you want to reach. It can be a personal or professional goal. Let’s use water to represent that goal. We are starting off with two hydrogen molecules, and we know hydrogen is a gas. By themselves, the two molecules are not water. But they have the potential to become water, just like you have the potential to achieve your goal.
We know that we need to add something else to those two hydrogen molecules in order to create water, so we add an oxygen molecule. Now we have water.
But what happens if you take those same two hydrogen molecules and you add the wrong Third Influence? What if we add a sulfur molecule? Two hydrogen molecules and a sulfur molecule create hydrogen sulfide. This is a stinky gas that smells like rotten eggs. It is a highly poisonous gas, whose toxicity is similar to that of cyanide.
Basically, if you have the wrong Third Influence in your life, your life can be completely poisoned. Your life can go completely off track. Let’s use Mike Tyson as an example. When he was very young, he had a Third Influence come into his life and it took him to the pinnacles of the heavyweight division. It actually made him the youngest heavyweight champion ever. But later on, a different Third Influence entered his life. It was a bad influence. He became like the stinky, poisonous gas. Things just tumbled for him.
What does that tell us? It tells us that, regardless of the success we experience, we are always vulnerable to a Third Influence that can shift things. Third Influences come in and completely impact your thought processes and your actions. Your Third Influences have a stronghold on what direction or path in life you take, how you think, and how your life unfolds.
